The traditional method for dressing up bottles is to dip the top of the bottles into molten wax. It is sometimes messy, but is an attractive alternative to plastic capsules. One pound of wax will do about 50 to 65 bottles. Sold in bead form in 1 lb. containers.

I made the wine for my daughter's wedding, so I wanted the bottles to be special, from the custom wedding labels to the capsules. Since I couldn't find heat-shrinks to fit my magnum size bottles, this wax was a great alternative. Easy to use, but if you mess up, it's also easy to peel off the wax, re-melt it, and start over. Only suggestion... could use some directions! (But I watched some YouTube videos and picked up some great tips). :-)
