$40 Johnson 750 GPM livewell boat pump works great. Notice #28703 pump: discharge is 90 degree BUT #28703 pump is called straight??? Farm store sells fitting to adapt to 5/8" garden hose. Purchase new cheap plastic garden hose each year & flush with water. Cut off length needed. Pump is plastic & stainless steel. Remove motor to clean. Add a shut off valve @ top of carboy, so 3/4" line does drain. We add 1/4 teaspoon Potassium Metibisulfite per 5 gallon as apple cider is pressed. A barrel of apple cider will clear in 24 hours. We pump cider to basement.

Lasts a long time

Well, I am so sad to have to order another one of these pumps. The first one has started leaking so I had to replace it. IT ONLY LASTED 25 YEARS. I purchased the first one when I was an amateur winemaker. Then it was the only pump I had in my commercial winery for 8 years. And now, I have been running it for hundreds of hours at my distillery to filter my Gold Medal winning vodka. It is/was a real work horse. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Lee Foster Fuqua - Duckworth Distillery
