Potassium Bitartrate (Cream of Tarter), powder, NF. Used as a seeding agent to promote cold stabilization. Add to wine at the rate of 2 to 5 grams per gallon, followed by vigorous stirring. Stir the batch daily. It is not a substitute for chilling the wine, but will aid in getting tartrates to drop out faster at any otherwise effective temperature.
