Lalvin ICV-D80 (D80-500) Wine Yeast, 500 gram pkg. S. cerevisiae. This wine making yeast is a rapid starter with a moderate fermentation rate and alcohol tolerance to 15%. It brings out rich concentrated fruit flavors in varieties like Zinfandel and Syrah and leaves a long lasting licorice finish. It is often blended with wines fermented with D254-500 to get higher tannin intensity in the blend.

Seems to be working very well on Chilean Malbec juice witha a brix of 22. Fermentation is a a lower level than others I have used but seems to be strong.
