Traminette is a late midseason ripening white-wine producer variety and is claimed to be superior in its balance of sugar, acid and pH levels to that of the most famous of its parents ( Traminer Rot x Joannes Seyve), and also has less bitter phenols. This wine ages well; developing honey and apricot flavors in 2 to 5 bottle years.

Traminette can be produced as dry, sweet or sparkling wine. Can display spicy flavors and floral aromas with a good balance between sugar and acid.
